Thies Stahl
Thies Stahl studied psychology, diploma in 1976. He was trained as a Rogerian therapist from 1974 to 1977, as a Gestalt therapist from 1977 to 1982, as a family therapist from 1977 to 1983 (by Virginia Satir et al), as a hypnotherapist from 1979 up to today (by J. Grinder, J. Zeig, Ernest Rossi et al), and in Neuro-Linguistic Programming from 1980 up to today (by J. Grinder, R. Bandler, Leslie C.-Bandler, Robert Dilts, et al).
He translated the classic NLP book "Frogs into Princes" to German in 1980 and authored articles and books on NLP, coaching and mediation. In 1981 he founded the German Society for NLP and taught training seminars for professional communicators (psychotherapists, doctors, social workers, teachers, management trainers, et al) since then.
Virginia Satir, the world known familiy therapist and major source of NLP, commented in an letter to Thies in 1986 on his approach to NLP: "I liked what you did very much. Your careful and precise way of thinking organically helped me to see implications of my work that I had not seen before. The negative part of NLP as practiced and taught by Richard and John has been the fact that it is taught as manipulation rather than something human that is evolving. You have added that piece. I am glad that you have done that.... Thank you again for your careful work."
Since 2000 he trained extensively with M.Varga von Kibéd, I. Sparrer (Systemic Structural Constellations and Organiational Constellations), as well as with Gunthard Weber, Michaela Kaden and many other german first generation Hellingerian constellation trainers. In the last years he trained with B. Hellinger himself and help Bert with the digitalisation of Berts video archive. So he had the opportunity to study all of Berts the unpublished video footage and spend three years on intensive studies of the development of Berts approaches from 1990 up to today.
In his "Prozessorientierte Systemische Aufstellungsarbeit (ProSA)" (German for: Processoriented Systemic Constellation Word) he found his own style of doing constellation work. It is charcterized by a special kind of pre constellation interview which combines NLP, gestalt therapy, hypnosis and solution focused work in an effective way.
